I truly appreciate the effort involved in getting the camera working again, and thanks to the folks involved for their hard work, however the view chosen seems little better than no camera at all. For those of us who relied on it to learn whether a winter trip was feasible, we can no longer tell how much snow has fallen or remains, whether there has been significant drifting, or even if the road has been plowed. A view of Ramona is always pretty, but it was the close-up of fencepost, road, and and snow-covered grasses that provided us with the information we really need before making the 3 hour drive.
Sorry Ann, We had limited options when we needed to move the camera from the Gallery. You can see the road - Prairie Divide - in the picture, and if you press the Ctrl and "+" keys on your keyboard, you can enlarge the picture quite a bit. I have moved the camera angle to the west a little to get more road to show. I entertained aiming the camera to get some roof tops below the camera location, however the roof is very steep, and with RFL winds, seeing that roof top would not be helpful. The snow does not stay there very long. I recommend you call one of the local businesses prior to making a trip up. Then you will get a very accurate understanding of conditions.
